“Lonely Dance” is inspired by a mixture of minimalist and detail-oriented design. I was also inspired by the game, Sky: Children of The Light, and attempted to mimic its simplistic, yet enchanting art style.

While working on the poster, I thought about how my lifestyle has changed through the pandemic.

Since COVID, my time outside has been reduced and I often have to rely on entertaining myself with activities. Having to adapt to this routine was actually more enjoyable than going outside because I get more time working alone and my productivity in creating projects has really improved. 

Therefore, I created a visual of the feeling of enjoying my own company.

An activity that I’ve grown to like specifically is dancing to music by myself in my room.

I think that it’s important to have alone time, especially when the world around us moves at such a chaotic and fast pace. I think that it’s also important to still enjoy little things (while following COVID guidelines), despite being in the middle of a pandemic.
